Yesterday we had a packed schedule, so let’s get right into those. Field hockey took on Hanover first in the day and tried hard but fell 3-1. Girls volleyball took on Hanover next and had some very close games, 25-9, 25-21, 25-24 but sadly lost to Hanover 3-0. Girls soccer fought against East Pennsboro at 7:30pm and battled well but fell to a score of 3-1.
The Lady Bobcat Tennis team played very well but came out on the short end with a 3-2 loss to a good Southwestern team.
Courtnee Hoff continues to impress as she won her match with a 6-2; 6-1 victory. Courtnee's final singles record was 8 and 3 which was very strong considering she is only a sophomore.
Brynn MacDonald and Lindsey Myers won their doubles match with a solid 6-4; 6-2 score. Brynn and Lindsey finished their season with with a sparkling 9 and 2 record and are looking forward to the county tournament.
Additional wins for the team were posted by Madison Laughman, Kirsten Harrison, Aubrey Shaffer, Isha Patel, Mansi Patel, Adonnya Onwukonjo and Kiara Cornish in their doubles matches.
Brynn MacDonald took on two different opponents in singles exhibitions and pulverized both of them with scores of 6-1 and 5-1.
Overall, the team moved from three wins last year to a total of seven this season, a huge improvement!
The team will certainly miss the wonderful seniors from the 2016 team of Evonne Qiu, Lindsey Myers, Mansi Patel, Kiara Cornish, Kirsten Harrison, Allie Holler, Kaiya Weaver and our manager, Alexis Snyder. They are are great group of ladies and the team wishes them the very best in their futures!
The Bobcats will enter the county tournament this Thursday with Evonne Qiu in singles and Evonne, Courtney Hoff, Brynn MacDonald and Lindsey Myers next Monday in doubles.
