Last night, the swimming and diving teams competed against Dover for their senior night! Both the girls and boys teams won! The girls won 101-85, and the boys won 97-85! Congratulations everyone, especially the seniors!
The wrestling team also competed last night! The guys also celebrated their senior night. Again congratulations for all your hard work seniors! The boys basketball team has a home game against South Western tonight! Come out by 7:30 for yet another thrilling game of basketball!! This evening the Swimming & Diving teams have a meet against Dover! This is the team’s senior night, so make sure you come out to the pool by 5:45!

Last night the girls basketball team played Kennard-Dale and lost. The boys basketball team played Central, and boy was it a good game!! Both teams played their hardest throughout the whole game, and our bobcats came out with the win in the last seconds! With a pass from Fred Mulbah, Nate Wilson pulled up a 3 tp give it a final score of 67-64!! Great jpb guys! Way to give Central that L and continue your undefeated record!! Also the swimming and diving teams competed yesterday evening! Congratulations to Hunter Bachman on breaking the school record in the Boys 50 Freestyle with a time of 22 seconds! On Friday, the boys basketball team took on Dallastown and crushed them 80-50! A special shout out and congratulations to senior Fred Mulbah for scoring his 1,000th point at the game!! Also, thank you to everyone who wore blue in honor of Officer HIl. The boys had another game on Saturday, winning 52-46 over Bishop McDevitt! The wrestling team also competed this weekend! They had a match against New Oxford. Cole Wilson earned 3rd place,Corey Eaton placed 4th, and Joe Shockley placed 8th in their weight categories. Great job guys! On Monday, the boys basketball team played Steel High and won 74-67!! Yet another win, keeping our guys undefeated! On Tuesday, the swimming and diving teams had a meet vs York Suburban, but it was rescheduled due to the weather. The meet will now be held on Tuesday, January 23rd. The wrestling team’s match on Tuesday against New Oxford was rescheduled for Thursday January 25th. This will be the guys senior night, so plan ahead and come out to support them on the 25th! The girls basketball team;s game against Eastern was also rescheduled. Their game will now be held tonight! Last night the boys basketball team had a game against Red Lion. The guys were down 31-28 at the half, and came back to win 55-43! For those of you who are Non-Pass holders for the winter sports season, tickets for the Boy’s Basketball team’s home game against Dallastown will be pre-sold today from 3pm-6pm in the 9th grade office. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. Spectators will be limited to 2 tickets per person. Make sure you get your tickets early! Good Morning Northeastern!
On Friday the boys basketball team played New Oxford and won 56-46! Over the weekend, the basketball had another game against Cocalico. They played here at home Saturday night, and beat them 61-43!! The guys have yet another game again today!! They play away at Steelton Highspire High School. Good luck!! Northeastern Athletic Pass holders can pick up tickets for Friday’s Boys Basketball game vs Dallastown today and tomorrow from 2pm-5pm in the 9th grade office! Lets get it going with this week in sports! I’m the NBA on Monday the Timberwolves took care of business on their home court and beat the cavs 127-99. Tuesday was highlighted by the Heat vs Raptors game which resulted in the heat winning 90-89 because of a buzzer beater layup by Wayne Ellington. There was a lot of games on Wednesday, but the biggest one was the Clippers 125-106 win over the Warriors because of Lou Williams 50 point game!! On Thursday, the Celtics and Sixers went head to head in London and the came out on top! The NFL playoffs have started and the wild card round winners from last weekend are moving on to face the teams who deserved a first round bye last week. The games coming up this weekend will be the Falcons vs Eagles, Titans vs Patriots, Jaguars vs Steelers, and Saints vs Vikings. These will be some crazy games so look out for those! That will wrap up this week in sports! The fall semester Aquatic Fitness class participated in their second 12 minute Cooper Test swim assessment this week! The goal was for students to swim as many laps as possible in the 12 minutes, but also to improve upon their assessment completed in November. Period ½ was lead by Caitlyn Baer’s strong performance swimming 40 laps, followed by Kirstin Witmer with 37 and Bri Smith with 35. Caitlyn and Kirstin were also the most improved performances adding 5 laps each to their previous swim. The boys were lead by Camdyn Brunner’s 36 laps followed by Andrew Sreboski & Dakota Freyser’s 35 laps. Dakota Gill was the most improved boy’s performance adding an amazing 10 laps to his previous assessment. Period 3 swam Bobcat Strong with Ben Clifton leading the way with 63 laps in 12 minutes followed by Andrew Blankenship’s strong 42 laps. Trevor Anthony was the most improved male adding 8 laps to November’s attempt. Makenna Fitzsimmons was the girl’s top swimmer for period 3 with 50 powerfully completed laps which was an impressive 13 lap improvement. Mrs. Kowalewski and Mr. Schaeberle are very proud of the progress made in the 2 classes to improve both fitness level and swimming efficiency. All of the swimmers worked hard throughout the marking period. The swimming & diving teams also competed yesterday. The girls team won 131-49 And the boys team 99-81! Tonight, there is a boys basketball game here at home against New Oxford! The team appreciates all your support!! |
