*We have 3 games scheduled for today. First, boys’ soccer will take on Dallastown away at 4:00, while later in the evening, girls’ soccer will take on Susquehanna Township at home at 6:30pm. The football team will be heading to Red Lion with a gametime of 7:00pm. All of these events should be fantastic.
*We had games scheduled for yesterday, but most got postponed. Let’s get to when they’ll be. Field hockey was supposed to play West York away yesterday but that game was postponed until Monday, October 10th. Girls volleyball was away and took on William Penn at 7:00pm and obliterated them 3-0. Boys’ soccer was away too and took on Conestoga Valley at 7:00 and had to fight hard in gross, wet weather, but sadly lost 2-0.

We only had one game scheduled for yesterday for girls’ tennis but the game vs. South Western was postponed until Monday, October 3rd at 4:00pm.
*We have 3 games scheduled for today. First in the day, field hockey will take on West York away at 4:15 while boys’ soccer will also be away to take on Conestoga Valley at 7:00. That isn’t the only event going on at 7:00 though, girls’ volleyball will take on William Penn away at 7:00. We had quite a few games yesterday, so let's dive on in.
*Boys’ soccer game was postponed until Monday, *while field hockey was next on the schedule as they battled Susquehannock and battled but lost with a final score of 7-0. *Girls’ volleyball played Eastern York which resulted with Eastern York winning 3-0. Northeastern tried hard but sadly could not come through with the win. *Girls’ soccer faced Red Lion and fought and fought. They took the win against Red Lion with a score of 4-2. *The Bobcat cross country teams traveled to Glen Rock to take on the teams from Susquehannock and Biglerville. In the boys’ race, the top seven of the home-team Warriors made an early wrong turn that cut more than 300 meters off the required course distance, leaving the Northeastern varsity 10 having to play catch-up for rest of the 3.1 mile run. Ben Kelly and Noah Hake did pass the leaders in the last half-mile, and seniors Brody McElwain and Robert Yoka, along with DJ Haas and Josh McKenzie broke up the remainder of the opponents’ pack, earning an outright win for the Bobcats. The race referee determined that the home team had cut the course and disqualified all seven runners, confirming the boys’ win that raised their record to 11-1. In the girls’ race Micaela Bradley and Rose Rush led a small field of runners over the difficult Susquehannock course to finish 1-2 and earn the ladies two wins and raise their record to 6-6 which will earn them a berth in the District Championships. Emily Rau, Sophie Dekker, Emilee Baskette, and Destiny Lehman completed the scoring for the Lady Bobcats. The teams travel to Gettysburg next week to for their next League contest. *Only girls tennis will be playing today as they are hosted by South Western at 4:00 pm so there's no reason you can’t go mosey over to watch the lady bobcats play in what should be an exciting game. *There were a lot of games over the past few days, so let's get down to it.
Field hockey took on South Western on Friday and even as they played hard, they came out with a final score of South Western winning 5-0. The football team was home on Friday as they took on Central York and played a tremendous game. Throughout the first half, Northeastern dominated Central York, sadly the second half was another story as Central came back in the end to win it 28-27. On Saturday boys’ soccer faced Governor Mifflin at home but dismally took a defeat with a final score of 6-0. Girls’ soccer traveled to Biglerville and did tremendous. They annihilated Biglerville with a final score of 6-0. Britney Arnts scored four goals herself and had two assists. Not only did field hockey have a game friday, but they got up early to play a tournament at home. They took on Shippensburg but sadly lost with a score of 5-0. *We only had one game on the schedule yesterday which was girls’ tennis. The Lady Bobcat Tennis team had a very good match against a New Oxford team and came out on the short end. Winning at first doubles were Brynn MacDonald and Lindsey Myers who won their match by a convincing score of 6-4; 6-3. Brynn and Lindsey moved their record to 9-2 for the season. Additional wins were posted by Isha Patel, Jillian Laughman, Kiara Cornish, Addonya Onwukonjo, Aubrey Shaffer and Madison Laughman. The team's final match will be this Wednesday at Southwestern followed by the county tournament the following week. *Now there are a lot of sports on the schedule today, so make sure you listen for all of these events. Boys’ soccer will be away to face Red Lion at 4:00pm while girls’ soccer will be at home to face Red Lion later in the night at 7:30pm. Field hockey will take on Susquehannock away at 4:15pm. Girls’ volleyball will be at home to play Eastern York at 7:00pm. Finally girls’ and boys’ cross country will both be at Susquehannock to take them on and Biglerville at 4:30pm. A lot went on yesterday, so let’s get to those games.
The Lady Bobcat Tennis Team battled hard against a very good Central Team and came out on the short end with a 4-1 loss. Courtney Hoff continued to win as she came out on top of a strong opponent with a 6-4; 7-5 win. Other outstanding efforts were put in by all the team members especially in close losses by the double's tandems of Brynn MacDonald, Lindsey Myers, Mansi Patel and Kiara Cornish. The team will take on another strong opponent this Monday when they host current second place New Oxford on the Bobcat courts. The team appreciated all the support they received on senior night with parents and fans along with Mr. Gay who gave the senior players a wonderful send off. Boys’ soccer was away to take on Spring Grove and fought hard, but took a loss with a final score of 0-2 while girls’ soccer was at home facing Spring Grove and gave them a beating while finishing with a score of 6-0. Finally girls’ volleyball battled Kennard-Dale and played 4 games, 25-20, 26-24, 18-25, 25-22 with a finishing score of Kennard-Dale winning 3-1. We have many games set for today and for tomorrow that should be entertaining, let’s check those out. Today, field hockey will take on South Western away. Tomorrow, boys’ soccer will be away to clash against Governor Mifflin and girls’ soccer will also be away to take on Biglerville except they will be up early at 10:00am to play their game. Also at 10:00am, field hockey has a big day as they take on a couple teams in their home tournament. And of course we can’t forget to mention tonight’s home football game against Central York at 7:00. Again, a huge thanks to everyone that came out this morning for Friday Morning Lights with ABC27. We had an awesome turnout, which was the biggest turnout of any school ABC27 has had so far this season. *Fox43 will be covering our game tonight and will be doing live segments before and after the game so look out for the Fox43 crew, and show them some Bobcat love *We didn’t have much go down yesterday but let’s take a look at what happened anyway.
Field hockey fought against Dover and snagged a close win with a final score of 1-0. The Lady Bobcat Tennis Team won another hard fought match over a good Red Lion team by a 3-2 score. Courtnee Hoff continued her winning ways with a 6-3; 7-6; 7-5 victory in her single's match. Brynn MacDonald and Lindsey Myers moved their record to 8 and 1 with a solid straight set win. Mansi Patel and Kiera Cornish continued to impress as they won 6-3; 6-0 in their doubles match. The doubles team of Evonne Qiu and Courtnee Hoff won convincingly with an 8-3 score. Additional wins were secured by Isha Patel who has yet to lose a match whenever she is playing. Other wins were recorded by Kirsten Harrison, Alyssa Harrison, Madison Laughman, Jillian Laughman, Allie Holler, Kaiya Weaver and Aubrey Shaffer. Overall, it was the team's 7th win, far surpassing any previous season. The team will host a good Central team today on the Bobcat courts at 4PM. Come out and support a great group of Bobcat Tennis players! There are lots of sports going on today, so let's get to those. First off boys’ soccer will be away facing Spring Grove at 4:00pm while girls’ soccer will be at home against Spring Grove at 7:30pm. Girls’ volleyball will also be at home to challenge Kennard-Dale at 7:00pm. *We had a ton of games go down yesterday so let’s take a look at what happened.
The Lady Bobcat Tennis Team picked up just their second loss of the season against first place Dallastown. The entire team played very well with outstanding efforts by Evonne Qiu, Adonnya Onwukonjo, Courtnee Hoff, Brynn MacDonald, Lindsey Meyers, Mansi Patel, Kiera Cornish, Kirsten Harrison, Isha Patel, Aubry Shaffer, Madison Laughman, Jillian Laughman, Alyssa Harrison and Amy Rizzo. The team will travel to Red Lion today with the goal of picking up win number seven. If the team plays well, this objective is certainly a possibility. Senior night will be at home this Thursday against Central. Come out and watch a team that has added a great deal of excitement to the Northeastern fall sports season! Yesterday afternoon the Bobcat cross country teams hosted a five-team meet on the High School and Middle School campuses. In the boys’ race, Northeastern’s dynamic duo of juniors Ben Kelly and Noah Hake chased the leaders through the first two miles before surging into the lead and going one-two overall. With the help of an 11th-place finish by Brody McElwain, a 19th-place finish by Robert Yoka, a 22nd-place finish by DJ Haas, and a 23rd-place finish by Josh McKenzie, the Northeastern men fought their way into first place in Division 1 competition with three meets remaining. The Bobcats beat Central, Eastern, and Delone Catholic to raise their overall record to 9 – 1, losing only to defending state runners-up York Suburban. In the girls’ race, Eastern’s Maddie McClain set a new course record of 18:56 on the 3.1-mile loop. Micaela Bradley paced the chase pack and earned a 6th-place finish overall. Rose Rush, Emily Rau, Sophie Dekker, Madison Wrightstone, Emily Baskette, and Destiny Lehman also scored for the Lady Bobcats. Last Saturday, the teams competed in the Big Spring Invitational, where Ben Kelly and Maddie Warrender earned overall medals. This Saturday the Bobcats travel to the Carlisle Invitational. Girls’ cross country was also defeated. Boys’ soccer took on South Western at 7:30pm last night and beat South Western in a tight game with a final score of 2-1. Likewise to the guys soccer team, girls’ soccer also played South Western and had an extremely close game prevailing 3-2. Furthermore, girls’ volleyball also had a game yesterday as they played West York but dismally took a defeat with a final score of 3-0. There isn’t much going on this afternoon as only Field hockey and girls’ Tennis will be playing. Field Hockey will be playing at home against Dover at 6:30pm and girls’ tennis will be away to take on Red Lion at 4:00pm. Since there is a two and a half hour gap between the games there is no reason you can’t go out and support both our lady bobcat teams. There were only two games scheduled yesterday so let’s see what went down.
The girls’ tennis team did not play yesterday due to inclement weather. The game will instead be at home today at 4:00 against Dallastown. Later in the night, girls’ volleyball took on Spring Grove but sadly, we did not get an updated score. *There is a lot of sports on the schedule for today. To start, boys’ soccer will be at home taking on South Western at 7:30pm. In addition girls’ soccer will be away to challenge South Western at 4:00pm. Girls’ volleyball will also be visiting as they are playing West York at 7:00pm. Both boys’ and girls’ cross country teams will be at home taking on pretty much everyone in a tournament. This is the only event the cross country teams will have at home so come out and support them today at 4:30 On the only sport event of Friday night, the field hockey team sadly lost in a close game to West York with a final score of 2-0.
Saturday afternoon saw the boys’ soccer team lose to central 7-0 while the girls’ soccer team won a tight game with a final score of 5-4. The football team cruised past Solanco on saturday with a score of 47-7. Anu Johnson ran for 242 yards and had four touchdowns, Shannon Valentie also scored with both plays being running touchdowns. *Both games that are scheduled for today are both at home and should be exciting. Girls’ tennis hosts Dallastown at 4 pm and the girls volleyball team will be playing at 7:30 against Spring Grove. Yesterday, the boys’ soccer team ended with a close game but still pulled it off against New Oxford finishing with a score of 3-2 while the girls’ soccer team obliterated New Oxford with a final score of 6-0. *The girls’ volleyball team sadly had a tough loss to Gettysburg ending with a score of 3-0.
*The Lady Bobcat Tennis team came up with one of their biggest wins over the season as they prevailed over a very good York Catholic Team in a tight 3-2 victory. This avenged the close loss that Northeastern had to YC last year and brought Northeastern's record to 5 and 1 for the season. Courtnee Hoff continues to win more and more matches as she straight settled her opponent 6-4; 6-3 at third singles. The undefeated doubles team of Brynn MacDonald and Lindsey Myers came through again with a solid 6-4; 6-4 win. The match of the day though belonged to Evonne Qiu who won the first set in a tie-breaker, lost the next one 6-4 before shutting the door on a very good YC player, 6-3. Additional wins were posted by Allie Holler, Kirsten Harrison, Madison And Jillian Laughman, Isha Patel and Aubrey Shaffer. *The only game on the schedule today should be a fun one as the field hockey team takes on West York at home at 6:30. *Tomorrow on Saturday we have 3 different sport events happening. The football team will be away taking on Solanco starting at 7:00pm. *Boys’ soccer will also be away to face Central York but they have to be up early because the game starts at 10:00am while girls’ soccer will face Central York at home later in the day at 7:30pm. |
