Yesterday, the boys’ soccer team ended with a close game but still pulled it off against New Oxford finishing with a score of 3-2 while the girls’ soccer team obliterated New Oxford with a final score of 6-0. *The girls’ volleyball team sadly had a tough loss to Gettysburg ending with a score of 3-0.
*The Lady Bobcat Tennis team came up with one of their biggest wins over the season as they prevailed over a very good York Catholic Team in a tight 3-2 victory. This avenged the close loss that Northeastern had to YC last year and brought Northeastern's record to 5 and 1 for the season.
Courtnee Hoff continues to win more and more matches as she straight settled her opponent 6-4; 6-3 at third singles.
The undefeated doubles team of Brynn MacDonald and Lindsey Myers came through again with a solid 6-4; 6-4 win.
The match of the day though belonged to Evonne Qiu who won the first set in a tie-breaker, lost the next one 6-4 before shutting the door on a very good YC player, 6-3.
Additional wins were posted by Allie Holler, Kirsten Harrison, Madison And Jillian Laughman, Isha Patel and Aubrey Shaffer. *The only game on the schedule today should be a fun one as the field hockey team takes on West York at home at 6:30. *Tomorrow on Saturday we have 3 different sport events happening. The football team will be away taking on Solanco starting at 7:00pm. *Boys’ soccer will also be away to face Central York but they have to be up early because the game starts at 10:00am while girls’ soccer will face Central York at home later in the day at 7:30pm.
