The NFL playoffs have started and the wild card round winners from last weekend are moving on to face the teams who deserved a first round bye last week. The games coming up this weekend will be the Falcons vs Eagles, Titans vs Patriots, Jaguars vs Steelers, and Saints vs Vikings. These will be some crazy games so look out for those!
That will wrap up this week in sports!
The fall semester Aquatic Fitness class participated in their second 12 minute Cooper Test swim assessment this week! The goal was for students to swim as many laps as possible in the 12 minutes, but also to improve upon their assessment completed in November. Period ½ was lead by Caitlyn Baer’s strong performance swimming 40 laps, followed by Kirstin Witmer with 37 and Bri Smith with 35. Caitlyn and Kirstin were also the most improved performances adding 5 laps each to their previous swim. The boys were lead by Camdyn Brunner’s 36 laps followed by Andrew Sreboski & Dakota Freyser’s 35 laps. Dakota Gill was the most improved boy’s performance adding an amazing 10 laps to his previous assessment.
Period 3 swam Bobcat Strong with Ben Clifton leading the way with 63 laps in 12 minutes followed by Andrew Blankenship’s strong 42 laps. Trevor Anthony was the most improved male adding 8 laps to November’s attempt. Makenna Fitzsimmons was the girl’s top swimmer for period 3 with 50 powerfully completed laps which was an impressive 13 lap improvement.
Mrs. Kowalewski and Mr. Schaeberle are very proud of the progress made in the 2 classes to improve both fitness level and swimming efficiency. All of the swimmers worked hard throughout the marking period.
The swimming & diving teams also competed yesterday. The girls team won 131-49 And the boys team 99-81!
Tonight, there is a boys basketball game here at home against New Oxford! The team appreciates all your support!!
