Yesterday had a lot of different sports going on, so let’s get to those scores. The Bobcat cross country teams traveled to Adams County to take on the teams from West York, Red Lion, York Tech, and Gettysburg. In the boys’ race, Ben Kelly and Noah Hake led the front pack for just over two miles before breaking away for a one-two Northeastern finish. Brody McElwain and Robert Yoka ran strong races to break-up the frontrunners from Gettysburg and Red Lion, enabling the Bobcats to sweep the meet and earn four victories, raising their record to 14-1. DJ Haas, Josh McKenzie, Mitchell Millis, and Parkes Harman completed the scoring for the boys’ varsity team. The boys remain undefeated in the Division along with Dallastown, and the ‘Cats will be battling next Tuesday at Fairfield to decide the championship.
In the girls’ race Maddie Warrendar traversed the muddy 5K course in just over 20 minutes to lead the team to victories over Tech and Gettysburg. Rose Rush finished in the pack along with Sophie Dekker and Emily Rau to score for the Lady Bobcats. Also scoring for the varsity team were Emilee Baskette and Destiny Lehman.
The teams return to Gettysburg this Saturday for the Battle on the Battlefield Invitational.
*Boys soccer took on New Oxford and fell to them 6-1 when taking them on away while girls soccer took on New Oxford at home and triumphed with a final score of 5-2. Finally, girls volleyball took on York Suburban and fought hard with each game, 25-15, 25-6, 15-17, but lost 3-0.
*We only have 1 game on the schedule today, so hopefully you are able to come and support our lady bobcats as the field hockey team takes on Dover away at 6:00pm.
