Coach Stacey Sidle came in to lead the team yesterday as she remained undefeated as a Bobcat Coach! Although she stepped in at the start of the match, she responded like a champion in her coaching efforts!
The Bobcat Tennis Team rested their top four players against Spring Grove and still managed to win the match, 4-1. This moved their record to 8 and 1 for the season.
First singles, Sam Sidle played a competitive match as he won in straight sets.
Ryan McElwain battled hard in his match and came out on top, 6-2; 6-2 at second singles.
Third singles, Erick Sowers had the most exciting match as he fought off at least 8 match points against him before a very close 14-12 tiebreak loss after splitting the first two sets.
Seth Sidle and Evan Gibbs totally crushed their opponents 6-0; 6-0 at first doubles and played extremely well.
Trenton Clouser and Carter Crebs put on a solid performance as they won, 6-0; 6-1 at second doubles.
The Cats had several other good wins as well with the following players, Joe Weihbrecht, Daniel Mohney, Josh Taylor, Sam Gatchell, Brandon Shirk and Holt Dellam.
The team travels to Delone today for their fourth competition of the week
There is also a softball game today here against Dallastown at 4:15.
The baseball team plays Dallastown as well here at 4:15.
