Good Morning Northeastern!
The Bobcat Tennis Team took on a very solid fifth ranked Red Lion group in the Team Districts, battled incredibly hard for over two hours but lost to the higher seeded team.
Every match was hard fought with both teams playing at a high level.
Josh Sanderson, Lance Fries, Hayden Golden in singles and Tony Damian, Ryan McElwain, Sam Sidle and Erick Sowers in doubles truly gave it their all as they pushed Red Lion hard in another classic match with four of the five matches going deep into three sets against a very tough foe.
Next Friday, Josh Sanderson and Lance Fries will compete in the District doubles as they had the highest finish of any Bobcat doubles team ever by taking third in the county tournament.
The team appreciated the good fan support it received and have already set their sights on 2019 as all of their starters will return along with an excellent group of younger players in the wings.
Yesterday both the girls and boys track and field teams won against Kennard Dale! The guys won 81-49 and the girls won 101-26!
Also yesterday, the baseball team played Eastern for their senior night. Our bobcats came out with a win for a final score of 13-3!
The softball team played Spring Grove yesterday and lost 4-1.
The boys volleyball team beat Red Lion last night in the first three sets. Great job!
Today, the baseball team plays Spring Grove here at home. Come show support!
The softball has an away game this evening at 7 away against Wyomissing Area High School. Play hard!
The boys volleyball team is also on tonight’s schedule with a game at home against Bishop Guilfoyle High School. Good luck!
