Good Morning Northeastern!
Yesterday, the Bobcat Tennis Team picked up their second win of the season with a 5-0 shellacking over Dover.
Even more impressive was that the Cats did this while moving their lineup forward to allow more of the younger players to compete.
First singles, Haydne Golden put on a great show at first singles as he won 6-0, 6-0.
Sam Sidle played a variety of good shots as he won at second singles, 6-2; 6-1.
At third singles, Ryan McElwain pitched a solid 6-0, 6-0 shutout over his opponent.
The first doubles team of Trenton Clouser and Carter Crebs played very well as they only surrendered one game in a 6-0; 6-1.
Seth Sidle and Evan Gibbs picked up a forfeit win at second doubles before soundly beating two other players 6-0; 6-2 in an exhibition match.
The county doubles win was picked up by Tony Damian and Matt Murry as they won, 8-3.
Other strong performances were put on by the other Bobcat team members that included Sam Gachell, Joe Weihbrecht, Brandon Shirk, Daniel Mohney, Josh Taylor, Troy Billingslea, Ethan Godchell, Blake Lemelman and Holt Dallam.
The team appreciated the good fan support yesterday and will travel to Susquehannock this Friday in what will be several competitive matches.
There are no games on the schedule for today.
