Last night the girls field hockey team took on York County School of Technology. The bobcats struck first Early in the first half, with a powerful drive to the goal by junior Sloan Shover. Midway through the half, Sloan Shover put another goal on the scoreboard, making it 2-0 for the bobcats. In the second half of play, off an unlucky play, York Tech scored their first goal of the game making it 2-1. The bobcats however were quick to respond with defender, Abby Tabachini hitting the ball directly between the York Techs goalies legs off of a corner play to further the bobcats lead to 3-1. Both the lady bobcat offense and defense put up a strong performance, to pull out a win for the team, 3-1.
Tonight there is a boys soccer game at Southwestern at 4.
There is also a girls field hockey game at Southwestern at 4:15.
The girls volleyball team plays at Dallastown at 7:15.
The girls soccer team plays Southwestern here at 7:30.
There will be boys 9th grade basketball open gyms on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting October 17th from 3-4:45 in the Middle School gym. You must have appropriate attire to participate. You must be picked up at 4:45, or you will not be allowed to participate in any further open gyms.
If you missed cheerleading tryouts in the Spring or you are new to Northeastern, this is your last chance to have an opportunity to cheer for this basketball season. The last tryout will be held Monday, October 28th 3-5pm in the high school gym. Wear shorts, t-shirt, sneakers, and your hair should be up. No jewelry.
