The football team won their first game of the year on Friday, beating Daniel Boone 27-12! Great start to a hopefully great season! The girls soccer game on Friday did not end up on the bright side for our bobcats. The girls fell to Conestoga Valley, who were state champs last year. The girls soccer team has another game tonight against Red Lion! Every year, this match up proves to be an intense game, so come out and support the girls this evening here at our home stadium! Varsity kicks off and 7:30 and JV is at 6.
The girl's tennis team won its second match of the week on Friday to move their record to 2-1. It was a good start to their season with a win of 5-0 over the visiting team Northern Lebanon.
For the single matches, number one player Courtnee Hoff continues to impress as she won handily 6-1; 6-3. Sophomore phenom Jillian Laughman scored a 6-0; 6-0 shutout over her opponent at second singles. And Aubrey Shaffer made her mark at the number three position and won big 6-1; 6-0.
The doubles team of Madison Laughman and Isha Patel won handily at first doubles with a score of 6-0; 6-1. Following that, the second doubles team of Amy Rizzo and Freshman Jiselle Castano also came out on top in their match and won 6-1; 6-3.
It was a great overall effort by the tennis team last Friday.
The team's next home match will be tomorrow against Dover. Come out and support a team that is getting better every match!
