The Bobcat Tennis team took down Hanover last night by a score of 4-1 and moved their record to 5 and 2 overall.
Leading the way for the Cats at first singles was Josh Sanderson who hammered out a 6-0; 6-0 win and is 6 and 1 overall.
Lance Fries had a challenging opponent but hung tough for a winning score of 7-6; 6-3 and is now 5 and 2 on the season.
First doubles team of Ryan McElwain and Tony Damian easily won their match 6-1; 6-1
and moved their record to 5 and 2.
Sam Sidle and Erick Sowers continued to play extremely well together as they came out on top 6-0; 6-0 in second doubles.
Additional wins were posted by the doubles team of Jason Cardone and Seth Sidle as they won 6-0.
Matt Murry and Trent Stauffer continued their winning ways as they came out on top 4-0.
Trenton Clouser picked up a good singles 6-2 win in his match.
The freshman duo of Sam Gatchell and Evan Gibbs continue to impress as they won another match, 4-1.
Sophomores Carter Crebs and Joe Weihbrecht also looked good in their contest as they came out with the victory, 4-1.
The other freshman combo of Zane Weaver and Sam Albright played well as they won 4-1 in their match.
The team's next home event is this Thursday against Dover. Come out and check the Bobcat Tennis team for some very exciting play!
Yesterday at the Track & Field meet against Eastern, the boys team won 86-60! The girls team had great effort but lost 50-100.
The baseball team played West York and took a hard loss, losing 10-0.
The softball team came out with a win though! The girls beat Southwestern 11-3, and JiJi Castano hit a home run! Great job to the team!
Boys volleyball won over West York easily, beating them in just 3 sets.
Today, the baseball and softball teams both play Dover here at our home fields at 4:15. Good luck to both teams!
Attention Boys Basketball players: Please turn in your uniforms by THIS Friday April 13th to the athletic office.
Anyone interested in playing golf in the fall is invited to attend a parent/player meeting on Monday April 16th at 7pm in the High School Cafeteria. At this meeting, our new coaches will be introduced and spring/summer information will be handed out. Interested golfers should sign up in the athletic office by next Monday. Please provide your parents contact information to the athletic office.
