The field hockey team faced New Oxford last night and unfortunately lost.
Yesterday, the Lady Bobcats tennis team took on defending league champion New Oxford, battled hard but came up short against them. Jillian Laughman continues to show why she is one of the league’s best players as she hammered New Oxford's top player 6-2; 6-1 with a variety of well placed shots. Taylor Forry and Jiselle Castano had competitive matches against tough foes as they came up short at second and third singles. The doubles team of Katie Harrison and Lael Marshall came very close to a win at first doubles as they played a very experienced team in a tight loss.
Olivia Riek and Laura Shearer continue to improve in every match as they lost at second doubles.
Additional wins for the Cats were posted by Emily Dellinger, Abby Gerber, Laiba Khan, Ashley Smith, Kiah Irwin, Madison Young, Saviah Whitfield, Roxy Damian and Maddie Riek all looked strong in their exhibition matches.
The team will take on Southwestern today here at 4. Come out and watch a very much improved Bobcat group as they look for a strong result.
Tonight there is a boys soccer match at Spring grove at 4.
There is also a field hockey game against Susquehannock at 7.
Good luck to all of the teams playing.
