Good Morning Northeastern!
Yesterday the Bobcat Tennis team battled hard on a very hot day against the top team in the league in a loss against New Oxford by a 4-1 score.
Courtnee Hoff played extremely well against one of the top players in the league at first singles in a hard fought loss.
Brynn MacDonald gave it her best shot against a solid New Oxford player in a challenging match.
The first doubles team of Madison Laughman and Jiselle Castano also were against a very strong team and played well in a loss.
After losing the first set, Aubrey Shaffer and Taylor Forry made a great comeback before coming up short in the second set in a very close 7-5 loss.
Second singles, Jillian Laughman turned the tables on an opponent that defeated her last season with a very impressive 6-4; 6-3 win over a very good challenger. Jillian is having a banner season in the tough number two position.
Additional wins were put together by Lael Marshall, Abby Gerber, Alyssa Harrison, Katie Harrison, Amy Rizzo, Olivia Reik, Laiba Khan, Emily Dellinger and Laura Shearer.
Overall, the Cats represented themselves very well against a team that, most likely, will win the division.
The girls soccer team played yesterday against Spring Grove. They won 2-0.
The boys soccer team also played Spring Grove yesterday, and the won 3-2. Nice job to both teams!
There was a field hockey game against Conestoga valley. The girls unfortunately lost 0-8.
The girls volleyball team played against Central, and they battled hard, but lost. They lost their first two sets going over 25 and in the third and final set, Central came out on top.
Today, the girls tennis team will travel to Southwestern, in what will be a key match for the team and they will have to continue to play well to pull off the win.
There is also a field hockey game this evening against New Oxford.

Attention to any 9th grade boy interested in playing basketball, there will be an open gym from 6:30-8 in the middle school gym tonight.
